Howdy – happy Friday!

Erin here, founder and CD at Escape. It’s been raining like absolute crazy up in the mountains, but this weekend is looking perfect with the glorious return of our friend, sunshine. My personal plans include hiking, repairing my garden from Storm Debby, and checking out the Roscoe Mountain Club for a tour de sports with friends.

Also of note: the Perseid Meteor Shower will peak this weekend. Find somewhere dark (not NYC) and look up at the skies!

ICYMI, Last Thursday, our August Promos Newsletter went out with promotions and deals to 13(!) getaways. With summer drawing to a close, a lot of these promos are ending or changing – so if you’ve been waiting to book, now is the time! For your planning purposes: those with discounts expiring at the end of the month are River RunDawson FarmhouseWythe HotelPerch CottagesWarner’s CampSowilo Retreat, and Two Good Cabins.

Next week, we’re prepping your fall plans with a new travel guide to North Adams, MA, a Before & After series on the North Branch Cider Mill (now with baby boats – go meet them this weekend if you’re in the area!), and heading to a mirrored tiny house in the woods of Windham. Can’t wait to share!

Til then – have a great weekend.

Nestled in the Hudson Valley, Poets Hill is close to hiking, swimming, skiing, farms and farm markets, live music, breweries, restaurants & more. While you’re visiting, put these gems on your itinerary:
