Howdy, everyone –
I’m penning this on Wednesday morning, July 24, from Room No. 9 at The Leeway, a new boutique hotel in the Catskills. As of now – Wednesday morning – there’s one room left for this weekend. By the time this scheduled send goes out on Friday morning, that room is probably gone now, but maybe worth a double check, or at the very least, worth scoping their booking page and falling in love because it’s absolutely perfect. I love it.
Speaking of perfect, this weekend’s weather is looking gorgeous – and if you’re looking for a place to spend it, the July Escape Club Newsletter is a great place to start. Inside, exclusive promos get our insiders all kinds of deals from free extra nights to 20% off weekend getaways.
Last, and still on the subject of perfection: the reason I’m writing this on Wednesday morning and not Friday afternoon is that I am presently on an off-grid island somewhere off the coast of Maine. I’m sworn to secrecy on the location of this annual friends trip – where I’m fortunate to have made myself a regular on the guest list – and days are passed by afternoon swims and boat beers, followed by seafood feasts by candlelight in the evening.
Accessible only by boat, and with no electric and no running water, the campy vibe of the house lives so harmoniously within the rugged, beautiful landscape of coastal Maine – a perfect spot to make memories. If you haven’t done an adventurous friends trip recently, I highly recommend it. (And wouldn’t you know it, we have one of those below…)
Anyway, enough about my own escape. Maybe it’s time to plan yours?
Til next week,
