Summer greetings from Cranberry Pond, a 3-bedroom rental home (plus two private studio cabins) just outside Livingston Manor, NY. Follow a private dirt road to this Catskills oasis, which is surrounded by rolling open meadows, windflowers and water views. Sister property to Clementine Creekhouse, this home has been designed beautifully and thoughtfully by Orley Interiors.
The main house sleeps up to six guests – but the recent addition of two studio cabins (one with its own outdoor shower) can sleep an additional four people. A beautiful kitchen is equipped with new appliances, including a Bertazzoni stove, to prepare meals for all – or fire up the grill for an al fresco meal on the expansive deck that overlooks the house’s namesake, Cranberry Pond.
During summer, spend your days swimming in nearby lakes or hitting the hiking trails, then hit one of the two outdoor showers at the house. Rainy day? Explore the town of Livingston Manor with its boutique shops (Long Weekend, Homestedt, Concrete & Water), Sunday farmers’ market, multiple breweries (Catskill Brewery, Upward Brewing) and bars (Sunshine Colony) – plus an amazing dining scene to boot.
