100 miles from NYC, this super-stylish Airbnb in Hurleyville, NY is full of delightful surprises and thoughtful touches.

There’s much to explore in this home, like an entire wing of the home hidden behind swinging doors, cleverly disguised as a wall. In the living room, floor-to-ceiling window overlooking the woods gives guests the sensation of treehouse living; while an entire wall of mirrors in one of the bedrooms makes for a captivating bedroom experience. Finally, down the stairs into a fully finished basement, a second living room has a wood stove, plus a bar tucked into a nook, offering speakeasy vibes.

The house is walkable to the cute town of Hurleyville, where you can stretch your legs on the Hurleyville Rail Trail and shop on Main Street. Some favorites include Hurleyville General (where guests of the Hurley get a $50 credit on arrival) and do not miss La Salumina – purveyors of incredibly delicious Italian specialty foods. Guests of the Hurley are treated to a spread from La Salumina on arrival; we’re betting this inspires many guest visits to the shop to stock up before heading back to the city. Don’t miss the focaccia!

Fifteen minutes away, the trails at Neversink Unique Area exploring the landscape (including tunnels of rhododendron, which bloom in spring) – any trail will do, but make a point to visit Mullet Falls, the crown gem of this trail system. Finally, after a day on the trail, spend your evening by the fire – in winter, by the cozy wood stove in the lounge, or in summer, head outdoors to the fire pit, and have a drink under the stars.
