2015 was a good year for us–thanks to the support of our friends, families, and partnerships, Escape Brooklyn changed from side project to full-time work for us. One of those partnerships we’re excited about is with Enterprise Rent-A-Car.  Along with a total redesign of their website, Enterprise recently launched a travel inspiration blog, and asked us to write some content. Naturally, we were more than excited to share some of our experiences–including itineraries and short stories–with a totally new audience of travelers. Below is an excerpt from one of those stories. A corner in our Crown Heights, Brooklyn apartment.

Besides running our travel blog, Escape Brooklyn, Denny and I buy and sell vintage and antiques. It’s a great way to make a couple quick bucks — and besides, it gives us an excuse to buy cool stuff we love! Every time we’re on the road (which is every weekend) we return to Brooklyn with major junk in the trunk. Though we do some research beforehand — looking for auctions and thrift stores — many of our best finds are just from popping into roadside flea markets, barn sales and antique shops.

Globes are a particularly weak spot for Denny.
