If you’re reading this, then you’re already here, and you already know that Escape Brooklyn is a contemporary travel and lifestyle website. What you might not know is that Escape Brooklyn started off purely as a passion project 4.5 years ago—with no business plans (or plans about anything really besides our next weekend jaunt.) Fast forward to now, Escape Brooklyn has grown to become a go-to source for New Yorkers looking to “escape” the hustle and bustle of NYC—whether it be for a daytrip, weekend, or a destination beyond. We reach approximately 90 thousand people per month.
As the Escape Brooklyn brand grows, we’re seeking interns who want to learn about being an entrepreneur, and how specialized travel companies function. You are interested and passionate about travel, and will assist us in partnerships with like-minded products and companies. This internship opportunity is open to any and all people who are excited to work with us. You will support the company with the following:
• Market Research
• Travel and calendar organization
• Social Media Strategy and execution
• Strong creative writing skills
• On-site event support and organization
You are an organized, timely, quick learner, resourceful, friendly, kind individual. You have strong writing and communication skills, are proficient interfacing with social media platforms, and have an entrepreneurial spirit. WordPress and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop/Illustrator/InDesign) are a huge plus.
Compensation: Work experience, perks, and reimbursements for travel. If you are in school, elective credit available where possible. Hours required are flexible, and based on agreed-upon priorities and tasks that need completion.
