Before we bought a car, we were avid renters, using Enterprise Car Share for quick jaunts out of the city. (Though their prices were on-par with Zipcar’s, we preferred Enterprise as they had a location right down the street. They also have the highest customer satisfaction rate in the country for rental cars.) Fast-forward a couple years, and many rental cars later, we finally bit the bullet and bought our own car on eBay. Sadly, our relationship with Enterprise was done–or so we thought.

Along with a total redesign of their website, Enterprise recently launched a travel inspiration blog earlier this year, and asked us to partner up on creating some content. Naturally, we were more than excited to share some of our experiences–including itineraries and short stories–with a totally new audience of travelers. Below is an excerpt from one of those stories. “Consider these two words: pizza and farm. In a normal world, these two words rarely appear together. But as we know, it’s a crazy world out there — and so pizza and farm come together at Lazy Crazy Acres.

LAZY CRAZY HAYRIDE

Located 150 miles north of New York City in Arkville, New York, Lazy Crazy Acres serves locals, weekenders and tourists alike at their Pizza Night on the Farm. (Pizza Night is held Saturdays during summer). Owned and operated by husband and wife team, Karen and Jake Fairbairn, Pizza Night on the Farm was born of their love for hosting people and feeding people good food (e.g. pizza). Instead of taking their harvest to markets, they found it was a lot more fun to have people visit the farm and throw a giant pizza party. Visitors can see where their food comes from and how it’s prepared — an educational and delicious experience.”
