The Catskills Cabin on the Creek is a perfect year-round escape, 120 miles from NYC and minutes from the charming Main Street of Phoenicia, or skiing and hiking at Hunter Mountain.

Great attention to detail was paid in the renovation of this home, whose owners used reclaimed heart pine — sourced from The Hudson Company — from a Manhattan factory and Brooklyn church. Sheepskins from nearby Thyme Hill Farm adorn chairs and other seating. In the primary suite hangs a large print by Catskills painter/artist Steven Weinberg. (See their renovation before & afters on Instagram @catskillscabinonthecreek)

Three bedrooms with two bathrooms means six friends or family members can gather comfortably in this beautiful Catskills home. In winter, cozy up next to the wood stove with your morning coffee or evening cocktail. During warm months, open the windows and listen to the sounds of its namesake, Stony Kill Creek. Speaking of creeks, fishermen will love the proximity to the famous Esopus Creek.

No matter the season, exploring this beautiful area is mandatory, with lots to do including hiking (check out Tanbark Trail with two stunning overlooks of the Catskills), fishing, tubing, swimming, skiing, snow showing, and so on. Nearby landmark dining includes the Phoenicia Diner, Brio’s (get a sesame seed crusted pie), Woodstock Brewing, and Peekamoose.
