It’s hard to believe, but this beautiful two-bedroom rental home in the Catskill Mountains was once a one-room schoolhouse! Built in 1870, the Parkston Schoolhouse served all grade levels in the Livingston Manor area. More recently, it was converted to a cozy cottage getaway, complete with a wood-burning sauna in the woods.
Tucked into the hillside along the beautiful, winding Willowemoc Creek, @parkston_schoolhouse is set amidst a lush Catskill landscape (with its own creek on the property) and just a five minute drive from Livingston Manor. While you’re in town, check out all the great shops (Homestedt, Concrete & Water, Old Souls, Corners, Long Weekend, Spruce Home Goods) restaurants/bars (Walk-In/Stumble-Out, Sunshine Colony, Van Smokey, Kaatskeller) and breweries (Catskill Brewery, Upward Brewing); or go hiking in the nearby Delaware Wild Forest, just 10 minutes down the road.
