Named after a Twin Peaks character, the Windham Earle is full of the same kitschy lodge vibes as its namesake. It was recently renovated by a guy in the film industry, so it’s no surprise that there are delightful vignettes throughout the home–including the very planty bathroom, or the massive fireplace with a full-size skeleton lounging above it. A literally perfect getaway for big groups, especially in summer, with a bonfire pit, outdoor charcoal BBQ, and a private pond.

Just minutes to Windham Mountain for winter skiing or summertime scenic chairlift rides. Get outside for a stroll at Windham Path; more experienced hikers will enjoy the Windham High Peak trail, an up-and-back trail overlooking Schoharie and Mohawk Valleys to Albany.
