This stunning midcentury modern home located in Newburgh, NY, was built in 1949 by the preeminent American architect Philip Johnson. Wolfhouse bears much in common with Johnson’s most famous home, The Glass House, erected the same year. Set atop a hillside just north of the Newburgh-Beacon bridge with panoramic views of the Hudson River, it was meticulously restored to its original condition in 2020. It’s most recently been reimagined as both a rental home, and also a cultural space with year-round arts programming.

Tucked away on nine private mountaintop acres, Casa Magda is the perfect spot for a cool-kids getaway to the Catskill Mountains. Inside the house, minimalist sensibility, mid-century treasures, and a playful collection of vintage furniture coexists to create a fun vibe; at night, the living room transforms into a dance floor, with the help of mood lighting consisting of neon lights, and of course, a disco ball.
