Scribner’s Lodge is a year-round Catskills escape, set on 20 acres at the base of Hunter Mountain. Guest rooms and suites are designed with mountain views in mind, while Prospect — the on-site restaurant and bar — draws both guests and locals for seasonal cocktails and fireside dinners.

Nestled in historic charm, Audrey’s Farmhouse is equal parts rustic elegance with modern luxury. Both their Old Mill and Greenhouses locations pet-fee-free.

Open year-round, owners Sally and Doug welcome your furry companions as cherished family members. Known for their impeccable service, they provide a bowl and treat at check-in and can arrange pet-sitting. Of note: Novice hikers, including those with pets, will delight in the brief journey to Awosting Falls: a 60-foot waterfall cascading into a pristine, expansive pool that transforms into a gentle stream. The trek to the falls is a pet-friendly, easy 40-minute round trip from the parking lot, featuring a predominantly flat carriage road.

Pet Policy: Bring em if you got em! There is a maximum of two dogs per room; please ensure pets are updated on vaccinations and protected from fleas and ticks. With its striking glass-walled cabins tucked into the hillside, Piaule is one of the Hudson Valley’s most iconic design hotels. The property’s minimalist architecture opens directly to the forest, while a spa with soaking pools, steam, and sauna makes it a destination for both relaxation and adventure.

Piaule is proudly dog-friendly, with a $75 nightly fee (a portion donated to a local shelter) and a strict on-leash policy to protect the surrounding wildlife.

On the banks of Lake Muskoday in Roscoe, Two Good Cabins offer side-by-side retreats designed for groups, families, or friends traveling together. A stone fireplace, wraparound porch, and guest cabin expand the main house’s footprint, while the lakeside setting invites swimming, boating, and evening fires by the water.

Truly pet-friendly, Two Good Cabins welcome dogs and cats with no additional fees. Seminary Hill offers a multifaceted experience with an orchard boasting over 60 varieties on 12 acres, an eco-friendly cidery meeting PassivHaus standards, a tasting room, a charming boutique hotel with 17 units, and picturesque views of the former St. Joseph’s seminary, the Delaware River, and Pennsylvania.

Its Boarding House, with 17 rooms in two renovated historic buildings, welcomes guests and it is pet-friendly – providing a comfortable and chic retreat with shared spaces and Shaker-inspired design by Homestedt.

Perched against the stunning backdrop of the Catskill Mountains, Eastwind Hotels beckon guests to embark on nearby hikes accompanied by their beloved furry friends. Complementing this pet-friendly experience, each of the three Eastwind locations provides pet kits complete with a toy, dog treats, and a bandana.
